2022 Autocar Xspotter recalls

Defect: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2012-2025 ACTT (Xspotter) vehicles. The tire inflation information label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims.".

Why it matters: Incorrect tire inflation information can result in under inflated tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems.".

Why it matters: Insufficient air volume can reduce brake function, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace or add additional air tanks as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed August 29, 2025. Owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available, anticipated September 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Defect: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 ACTT Xspotter vehicles. The fuel tank mounting straps may not be properly secured.

Why it matters: An improperly secured fuel tank can separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Legend, Xpeditor, and Xspotter trucks equipped with Sheppard Steering Gears. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly,which can cause the gear to fracture.

Why it matters: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
