2026 Forest River Wildwood recalls

Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers. The Federal Placard may have the incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars.".

Why it matters: Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Why it matters: The incorrect wiring may not make adequate contact, increasing the amperage and risk of a fire.

Why it matters: A griddle stowed while the gas is still in use can increase the risk of a fire.

Why it matters: A tire can be overinflated after referencing the incorrect information, increasing the risk of a crash.

Why it matters: Unprotected wiring can increase the risk of a fire.

Why it matters: A door that remains locked can prevent or delay occupants from evacuating during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
