2025 International Hx recalls

Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2016 7600, 2016-2023 Lonestar, 2018 8600, 2018-2023 LT, 2021-2026 MV, 2022-2023 RH, 2023-2026 HX, and 2025-2026 HV vehicles. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Why it matters: Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 12, 2026.

Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2026 HV, HX, LT, MV, RH, and 2025 EMV vehicles. The linkage that connects the right-side wiper arm to the motor may separate, causing the wipers to fail.

Why it matters: Windshield wiper failure can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2022-2025 HX vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems.".

Why it matters: A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.

Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024-2025 HX vehicles. An insufficient amount of lubricant in the front steer drive (FSD) axle hubs may result in damage to the wheel bearings.

Why it matters: Damaged bearings can cause the wheel to separate and result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HX and International LT vehicles equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, resulting in an engine stall.

Why it matters: An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Navistar will work with the equipment manufacturer, Cummins, to replace the fuel pump barrels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 22, 2024. Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HV, HX, LT, MV, and RH vehicles. The tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.

Why it matters: Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.

Defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HV, HX, LT, and MV vehicles. The steering gear sector shaft may have been improperly heat-treated, which can cause the gear teeth to crack or fracture.

Why it matters: Fractured steering gear teeth can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
