Defect: Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2026 MB II, 2006-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series school buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.

Why it matters: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Why it matters: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

The rod-eye rings attaching the front and rear door panels to the opening gear may delaminate, preventing the door from being controlled by the driver.

Why it matters: The door panel may remain in the open position or open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of passenger being injured falling out of the bus.

Dealers will inspect the service door mechanism for signs of rod-eye ring delamination and repair the mechanism as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Defect: Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2024 T-Series school buses equipped with a anti-vandal lock on the rear emergency door. The ignition interlock may allow the vehicle to start when the rear emergency door is locked after the key has been inserted in the ignition. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release.".

Why it matters: An emergency exit door that is locked can prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
