Defect: Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. (Hino) is recalling certain 2022-2025 NH7A, NJ7A, NJ7B, NJ7C, NV7A, NV7B, and NV7C trucks. Contact with the fender can damage the front right brake tube and cause a leak.

Why it matters: A leaking brake tube can delay the front brake actuation time, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

The ground connection in the telematics control unit harness may not be secured properly, which can result in the ground connection overheating.

Why it matters: An overheated ground connection can increase the risk of a fire.

The transmission shift selector has a Park 'P' position, even though the transmission does not contain a mechanical park mechanism.

Why it matters: The vehicle may rollaway if the shift selector is set to Park 'P' without the parking brake applied, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Hino Motors Sales U.S.A., Inc. (Hino) is recalling certain 2022-2023 NE7A, NJ7A, NJ7B and NV7A vehicles, equipped with headlights that are recessed in the hood. The headlight back covers, and anti-adjustment caps may have been improperly installed, which can result in headlight failure, or the headlights being adjusted incorrectly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.".

Why it matters: Headlight failure or incorrectly adjusted headlights can reduce visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect the anti-adjustment caps and back covers. In addition, dealers will confirm the headlight aim, and install any missing caps or covers.
