2014 Supreme Iner-City recalls

Defect: Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain 2003-2018 Supreme Signature Van, Iner-City, Kold King, and Service Body trucks, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Why it matters: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Supreme will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2018. Defect: Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Spartan Service Body, Signature Van, Iner-City and Kold King vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with equipped with Thieman Tailgates-brand TVL 12/16 series lift gates supported with roller chains that may fail.

Why it matters: Failure of either the street or curb side roller chain would result in that side of the platform falling immediately to the ground without notice, causing an uneven surface and increasing the risk of injury.

Supreme will notify owners, and Thieman dealers will inspect and repair the lift gates, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on November 22, 2016. Owners may contact Supreme customer service at 1-800-842-4889.

Defect: Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Signature Van, Iner-City, and Kold King vehicles manufactured April 1, 2011, to December 31, 2014. These vehicles have roof marker lights mounted on composite corner caps.

Why it matters: In the event that a marker light short circuits, the corner cap may catch fire.

Supreme will notify owners, and dealers will install an in-line fuse with suitable amperage for the marker light circuit, free of charge. The recall began on July 1, 2016. Owners may contact Supreme customer service at 1-574-642-0800.
